The restaurant composts and recycles all of its waste, buys only organic and fair trade food products as well as seasonal foods, uses boxes that can be sent back to suppliers, and picks up produce in its biodiesel car. Acorn House also boasts a training programme that prepares local youths to become sustainability-minded chefs.
